Barbara’s association with the Whims Legal Group began in 2019, after working primarily in private practices since 1989. 

 

She graduated from Michigan State University in 1982, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration-Prelaw (BBA). She then obtained her law degree from Detroit College of Law, receiving her J.D. in 1986.

 

After graduating law school, Barbara served as a Prehearing/Research Attorney with the Michigan Court of Appeals until 1987.  Following that role, she served as a Law Clerk to the following:

 

●          Judge Harold Hood of the Michigan Court of Appeals (1987-1988)

●          Justice Robert Griffin of the Michigan Supreme Court (1988-1989)

 

Barbara  was an Adjunct Instructor at Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City from 2002 to 2018, teaching courses in Legal Assisting and Criminal Procedure.

 

Barbara lives with her husband of 29 years in Traverse City.   They have three daughters.]
